Equinox 2020: What is the Autumn Equinox?

Written by Administrator

The name equinox actually originates from the Latin word aequus, meaning equal, and nox, meaning night.

The visible changes as nature prepares for winter are becoming increasingly apparent, notes The Farmers’ Almanac.

The almanac said: “Birds are flying south, temperatures are getting cooler, leaves are changing colours, and animals’ coats are thickening, to name a few.”

Autumn will end on Monday, December 21, at the time of the Winter Solstice.
