The 2021 Possibility Grant Sweepstakes offers five Title I K-12 schools across the United States an opportunity to win a $5,000 STEM grant to purchase supplies and technology for any STEM-related initiative! Teachers and educational professionals are encouraged to enter daily through April 30 for a chance to win.
Presented in partnership with the Siemens Foundation—a leader in advancing STEM workforce development and education initiatives, the 2021 Possibility Grant Sweepstakes empowers educators to support high-quality STEM instruction. The Siemens Foundation is committed to narrowing the opportunity gap for young people in STEM, recognizing that a more inclusive STEM workforce benefits everyone.
Julie Bertucci, a first- grade teacher at Roseland Montessori, a winner of the 2020 Possibility Grant Sweepstakes expressed:
“The Grant not only allows us the chance to continue teaching STEM effectively whether we are in remote, in-person, or hybrid learning environments, but also to develop something we have been wanting at our school since we opened over ten years ago: a mobile science lab.”
The Sweepstakes is a component of the Siemens STEM Day program, which offers more than 175 no-cost STEM activities and project-starters aligned to national teaching standards to help educators innovate curriculum and offer an alternative to screen time in virtual and hybrid learning environments. The grab-and-go activities are accompanied by professional learning resources that provide teachers with best practices and 5-minute refreshers to help them get students hands-on.
