A food recall is when customers are asked to return a product to a supermarket or store. This means there may be a problem with it.
The company told customers: “If you have bought Pasta Evangelists Basil Pesto and you have an allergy, intolerance or sensitivity to pistachio nuts do not eat it.”
Pasta Evangelists outlines what buyers of the pesto should now do.
“Check if you have bought the affected use-by date of the Pasta Evangelists Basil Pesto,” the company said.
It added: “Return the product to the store for a full refund (with or without a receipt).”
Marks & Spencer is also recalling Picard Food Products.
Picard has announced that there is incomplete allergy information on the labels of some of its products, due to an IT error.
M&S has included the missing information on its website and is asking customers to return any Picard items they have bought to the store.
These items are: two ham and cheese galettes, mini vanilla ice cream cones, mini chocolate ice cream cones, Christmas brioche, and 15 mini quiches.
