According to the BBC salary list in 2016, Gregg pocketed a cool £250,000 for presenting Masterchef and Masterchef: The Professionals that year.
Before his time on the small screen, he had an impressive career as a greengrocer.
He set up George Allan’s Greengrocers in 1989, which reportedly built to have a turnover of £7.5million.
The 56-year-old added to his fortune as he opened the restaurants Wallace & Co and Gregg’s Bar & Grill.
His presenter career began when he co-presented Veg Talk on BBC Radio 4.
Since then, Gregg has worked on shows including Saturday Kitchen, Eat Well For Less? and Gregg Wallace’s Big Weekends Away.
The 55-year-old has also topped up his bank balance by releasing a range of cookbooks.
He has also fronted TV shows including John Torode’s Malaysian Adventure and John Torode’s Australia.
While John has hosted MasterChef for many years, his salary has not been confirmed.
