Lewis Hamilton hails ‘favourite’ Hungarian GP win as ace matches Michael Schumacher record | F1 | Sport

Hamilton has bounced back from the disappointment of a fourth-place finish at the season-opening Austrian Grand Prix to record back-to-back wins.

The six-time F1 champion is now just five victories away from matching the record 91-win haul of Schumacher.

Hamilton said he has no intention of letting up having got himself back on track following his initial frustration at the Red Bull Ring earlier this month.

“I definitely feel Round One was multiple different punches that I wasn’t perhaps ready for,” Hamilton said. “But, [I] refocussed, which I try and do between every race.

“And the last two have been fantastic. And I think this weekend, just on point throughout the weekend. So we need to try and keep this up.”
