Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe was fully realised, the world of comic book movies was made up of separate entries, including the likes of Ghost Rider, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man. Included in the collection was the much-loved Blade series, which starred Wesley Snipes as the titular character. The first film in the franchise introduced Stephen Dorff as its antagonist, who recently slammed the upcoming Black Widow movie.
Black Widow is the first solo movie for Johansson’s iconic Avengers character. The film comes after the character was killed off in 2019’s Avengers Endgame.
While fans of the MCU are keen to see the character take on her own story for the first time, Dorff did not pull any punches when he spoke about the movie.
Speaking about taking on film projects, Dorff said: “I still hunt out the good s**t because I don’t want to be in Black Widow.”
The 47-year-old added: “It looks like garbage to me.” (Via The Independent)
Dorff’s criticisms didn’t stop there, however.
He continued: “It looks like a bad video game. I’m embarrassed for those people. I’m embarrassed for Scarlett!
“I’m sure she got paid five, seven million bucks, but I’m embarrassed for her.
“I don’t want to be in those movies. I really don’t.”

Black Widow hits cinemas this Wednesday and has received some good reviews thus far.
Our Daily Express review of it praised the “memorable stunts” and fantastic acting of Johansson.
However, it was noted that the latest MCU movie did have a rather “messy plot”, ultimately awarding the film three stars out of five.
In recent weeks Johansson has defended her character’s death.
She said: “It’s funny because I’ve had mixed reactions for her ultimate fate in Endgame. But, for me, it made so much sense that she would sacrifice herself.
“Not for the greater good of humanity, but for her friends, which were really at that heart of it.” (Via Entertainment Tonight)
