Supermarket news: Morrisons launches limited edition pancake day bundle

Written by Administrator

Morrisons has launched several food boxes throughout the pandemic to help those who are unable to get to the supermarket. Now, with pancake day coming up on February 16, the supermarket giant has launched its pancake day bundle that can be delivered straight to your front door.

For just £16, shoppers will receive:

  • Morrisons Plain Pancake Shaker Bottle 155g x 2
  • Morrisons Hazelnut Chocolate Spread 400g
  • Morrisons Lemon Juice 250ml
  • Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar 1kg
  • Lyle’s Golden Syrup 325g
  • Morrisons Dairy Spray Cream 250g
  • Morrisons Banana five pack
  • Morrisons Strawberries 227g
  • Mackays Scottish Strawberry Preserve 340g

Fans have taken to Twitter over the launch with one saying “that’s such a good price”.

Customers can also pick up pancakes including gluten free ones and toppings like the Hazelnut White Chocolate Spread.

Last year, the white chocolate spread went viral on social media with everyone claiming that it tasted like a Kinder Bueno and it sold out in multiple stores.

The supermarket also has a variety of other items to celebrate Pancake Day including Tefal Novelty Unicorn and Dinosaur pans, currently on offer for just £12, reduced from £18.

In other Morrisons news, the grocer is giving away pizza during half-term to struggling families.

There are 60,000 being given out in Scotland this week and in England and Wales next week.

Colleagues working on Morrisons pizza counters will each prepare 30 kits per day which will then be distributed to local schools and community groups to help support families in need via Morrisons Community Champions.

Each kit includes ready to roll pizza dough, tomato sauce, grated cheese and either peppers and sweetcorn or pepperoni and ham, depending on whether families choose the meat or vegetarian option.

Families will also be given a recipe card as well as cooking instructions.

Sian Ayling, head of Food To Go at Morrisons, said: “We want to ensure that as many children as possible have access to the food they need over the half term break, which is why we’re offering these pizza kits to those who need them in our local communities and would encourage as many people as possible to get involved with our competition.”
