Which countries are open for travel? | Travel News | Travel

Written by Administrator

The Government is warning against all but essential international travel, excluding to countries on the travel corridor list. If you travel to these countries, you won’t need to quarantine for two weeks on return to the UK. That doesn’t mean it is illegal to travel elsewhere. In fact, plenty of countries are letting Brits in even if they aren’t on the travel corridor list. Which countries are open for travel?

While it isn’t recommended to stray from the travel corridor list, you are technically free to visit whichever country you like as long as its borders are open to Brits.

However, it is worth checking the country’s coronavirus rate and assessing the risks before you embark on your journey.

The Government considers stripping a country of its place on the travel corridor list when its infection rate rises above 20 per 100,000 cases a day.

A rate higher than this is deemed unsafe, and if the UK Government advises against going there then you are unlikely to be covered by travel insurance.
